Clarystone has been involved with a solution for analyzing the clean profile of railway lines since its establishment in 2007.
At present, the development and production of the Malý Měřící Systém (MMS 1.0) is completed. This system is comprised of a small mobile trolley equipped with a pair of telemetric scanners. The trolley is specially engineered for easy handling by a single person, and, at the same time, it is extremely rigid to ensure accuracy of the measurement. A pair of telemetric scanners is mounted on the trolley such that the attendant is not exposed to the measuring beam. The MMS trolley is fitted with numerous sensors monitoring, among other things, tilt, speed and degree of incline. For collecting and evaluating measured data in real time, the trolley is equipped with a heavy-duty notebook computer in which special utility software is installed. MMS is easy to transport in a case in the loading bed of a standard delivery truck. Unloading and subsequent transportation to the measuring site is easy, thanks to auxiliary foldaway wheels. Measurement is performed at a walking pace, i.e. 3–5 km/h. The attendant pushes the trolley in front of him or her using a short handle and then is able to monitor the measured values on the notebook display. The results are available instantly after the measuring of a given section and can be printed on a mobile printer and sent to the client or manager of the route.
